The study was conducted using a qualitative technique. The objectives of the study are 1.to study activities related to conservation of marine resources and 2.to study a mutual marine resource management model of Ban Nai Thong, Nakhon Si Thammarat. Data was collected by reviewing documents and research works and collecting field data through focus group discussion, in-depth interview, and non-participant observation. A total of 21 informants in 3 groups comprises the local fishermen group, academic group, and public organizations. The collected data was analyzed and discussed by analytical description. The study results revealed that there were 7 major activities and the activities were divided into 2 types as.1. management activities to restore resources and 2.capital and knowledge management activities.The model of marine resource management was based on cooperation. The community initiated to implement a corrective action before asking for help from other agencies, responsibility and decision in the management support the community to have full power to manage its own resources on the basis of cooperation of people in the community in a significant way.
